In doing my research for this piece I have found that throughout
history, most of the great chefs have been men. It’s not that women did not
possess the skill, artistry and creativity to become a great chef, rather
that they were most likely prevented from so becoming that by the allowances
of the times. But my point is only that men have the inherent ability to be
good cooks. Whether they chose to do that over playing football does not
mean that if they were to suddenly find themselves as single fathers that
they would fall down on the job and their children would go hungry.
Men have been authors of some of the most beautiful poetry and
novels, music and movies throughout history. It must be accepted then that
the capacity to feel and express emotions, to translate those feelings and to
enable others to touch their own or to communicate with one another, is
within most men.
