This is the place to share our experiences as single moms raising boys. I have had the last 14 years to be blessed with raising a soul - from boy to manhood. And what a journey it has been. I have been on the other side of the fence, when dating men who hadn't a clue. I always found myself asking "who raised this man"? And now, I see what a gift it is t to be a woman raising a boy to be the kind of man I would want to date.

So many awesome men have been raised by single moms that I have come to realise we feel it is our responsibility to raise an enlightened and sensitive man. We have our moments, as single mothers too.

I will never forget when, a few years ago when I was sadly single in the dating world, I was playing with Sam's hair just a bit when he looked at me and stated "Mom, I'm your son - NOT your boyfriend". Dagger to my heart indeed, but he was right - sometimes we project things to our children that don't belong to that relationship. This is the place to share our stories, by first name, so others can know we're not alone in our deep love of sons and all of the complexity we have in common - being women raising strong son!
